Little John to Chew, also known as “Chewing John” or Alpinia galangal, is traditionally believed to aid and assist in Court cases. Many use this root, which is a staple in many Asian dishes, as a “chew”, or something that is retained in the cheek or the mouth as they are standing before the Judge. It has been said that in the past, spitting the saliva-infused root on the floor of the courtroom would result in a favorable resolution or verdict. Today, it is not socially acceptable to spit in public, therefore, releasing the saliva into the hand and smearing it on the table or armrests of the chair in the Courtroom have the same effect.
Herbalists state that Alpinia galangal is a calmative for the digestive system and upset stomachs.
We sell this root in a package of two to use on multiple visits to the Courthouse or to spit one out on the Courthouse steps or directly outside the doors of the building, one for you to use inside the Courtroom and, if it is possible, one for you to ask your representing attorney or legal counsel to carry in their jacket pocket. Additional powdered galangal is included in the package and complete instructions are given with each packet.
